About

Hello! I’m Jesse, a software engineer.

I’m currently working at Ashby, and have 9 years of professional experience.

Here’s a short summary of my career so far:

4 years at Gusto (senior engineer) from 2017 to 2021, Rails + TypeScript
4 years at Cocoon (founding/staff engineer) from 2021 to 2025, full-stack TypeScript
Product Engineer at Ashby from 2026 to now

I’ve written about a lot of things I’ve learned from working at these places in my blog and newsletter, which you can find here.

Here’s a picture of me. Boom 💥
